Traditional intensive treatment (IT) models of exposure and response prevention (ERP)
(with daily sessions over 3 weeks) and traditional outpatient spaced-treatment (ST)
models of ERP (with twice-weekly sessions over 8 weeks or weekly sessions spaced out
over a longer period) are highly effective in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder
(OCD).
