It’s an honor to serve as the first Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Work on the inaugural issue of Advances in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health started in late 2019; at that time, the phrase “onwards and upwards” had a different meaning to me personally, and perhaps to us collectively. When I started recruiting a distinguished panel of editors for our first issue of Advances in Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, we all stepped into this endeavor with a goal to help facilitate dissemination of topics geared toward translational application of scientific advances in our field.
